Christmas Less Lonely

Christmas Lunch


Thanks to funding from Persimmon Homes we are holding our fourth annual Christmas lunch for older people who may not otherwise have a Christmas celebration as a result of loneliness or disability.

We are providing a subsidised festive meal for 60 people including entertainment and a small gift.

Robots come to visit

WHEN: 20th December

MORE INFO: Come and meet the robots! Thanks to Luca Robotics bringing in their Sanbot Robot our clients can come and meet the robots for day. The robots can sing, dance and play games that are specifically designed to help people with dementia.

Warblers of Warfield

These themed weekly events take place at New Priestwood Community Centre 19 Priestwood Court Road, Bracknell RG42 1TU.

They are intended to encourage older men and women to try a variety of new (age appropriate) physical and mental activities designed to improve wellbeing and reduce social isolation. Our afternoons can include quizzes, crafts, guest speakers, entertainers, sport and games, dancing and cookery.

These sessions are also an opportunity to signpost attendees to other services in the area to help with issues that may arise as they age to ensure that older people remain living in their own homes for as long as possible.

There is no need to book – just turn up. If you have any questions, please call the event organisers on 01344 428074.

Suggested donation of £3.50 and £1 for carers includes entry and refreshments.


Kingston Christmas Market Coach Trip

Join us for a trip to Kingston Christmas Market.
 

The streets of Kingston will be transformed into a magical Christmas market spreading throughout Ancient Market Place and surrounding streets encapsulating the town centre in glittering festive cheer.

Throughout the traditional wooden cabins, discover a treasure trove of unique and handmade giftware, perfect for stocking fillers and unusual gifts. In Ancient Market Place and Alpine Village you’ll find bars serving up steaming mugs of mulled wine, classic street-food and live entertainment.

Departing from The Market Inn (by the bus station) at 9am, returning approximately 6pm. Ticket price includes coach journey only. Please note that tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable.
