ACTIVITY ASSISTANT - (Day Centre)
We are looking for friendly volunteers to spend time with our members at the Day Centre. The role will include: chatting/reminiscing, undertaking arts/crafts with the group, joining in with quizzes and playing games. If you enjoy connecting with people and making a positive impact through conversation and shared activities, this is a wonderful opportunity to brightens someone's day. Your time and kindness mean a lot to our community.
KITCHEN ASSISTANT - (Day Centre)
We are seeking volunteers at our Day Centre (located in Forest Park) to assist in the kitchen from noon to 1:30PM, weekdays. This is to help organise, monitor cooking and serving lunches for our members. No experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. If you have a little time to spare and would like to contribute to a warm and welcoming environment, we would love to hear from you.
GARDENING SUPPORT - (Day Centre)
Age Concern Bracknell Forest's Day Centre has a small garden that our members love to spend time in. If you enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for plants, your skills would be a great asset in keeping our gardens vibrant and welcoming for all who visit. We cannot do this without the support of volunteers. Can you help us?
COMMUNITY EVENTS SUPPORT: GROUP FACILITATOR / KITCHEN ASSISTANT
[There is a element of manual handling; setting up/clearing away. Duties are allocated based on capacity] - Our weekly community groups are safe, welcoming spaces where people come together to connect, support one another, and build lasting relationships. We believe that by fostering these connections, we can help beat social isolation and loneliness. Through various activities, discussions, shared interests, our community group provides a place for meaningful interactions and friendships to thrive. Our community groups run on Fridays & Mondays.
COMMUNITY EVENTS SUPPORT: Events & Trips Support
Our Triple-A trips are monthly outings designed to bring people together and explore new places, offering a chance for connection and adventure. These trips are open to all, and we are grateful for the support of our dedicated volunteers that support our members on these trips. These trips not only create memorable moments but also foster a sense of community and shared purpose.
Weekend Lunch Club - Group Facilitator / Kitchen Assistant
The Weekend Lunch Club (WLC) is all about brining people together to enjoy a shared meal, meet new friends, and combat loneliness and social isolation. Held once a month (normally on a Saturday), these gatherings offer a warm, welcoming environment where individuals can relax, connect with others and build meaningful relationships. By sharing food and conversation, the WLC helps create a sense of belonging and community, making ti easier for people to feel supported and less alone.
ADMINISTRATIVE VOLUNTEER -
We are seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with essential "back office "tasks such as filing, photocopying, answering the telephone, passing on messages and other light admin duties. Your support will help keep our operations running smoothly and ensure that we can continue to focus on serving our community. If you have spare time and are organized,, reliable and eager to help, we would love to hear from you.
